*Ghee and almonds -
Materials required –
1. An open clay lamp.
2. Clay plate.
3. Palm size cotton layer.
4. One cup of ghee.
5. 8 Almonds.
6. Grinder.
7. Stand or 4 glasses to hold the plate
on the lamp.
8. Beeswax.
9. Hot water.
10. Small container.
Method to prepare Kajal –
1. First grind the almonds.
2. Fill the almond powder in the cotton
layer and roll it to the thickness that can burn easily.
3. Soak this cotton roll into the ghee
and pour the remaining ghee into the clay lamp.
4. Now put the cotton roll into the lamp
and lit it up.
5. Hang the clay plate on the lamp using a stand or glasses.
6. Let the kohl collect on the plate .
7. Let it cool and then collect the kohl
into the small container.
8. Now take half tablespoon of beeswax
in a small bowl and keep the bowl in the hot water so that the wax can melt.
9. After the wax melts, add 3 or 4 drops
of it into the kohl we collected.
10. Also add 2 or 3 drops of ghee or Aloe Vera gel into the kohl.
11. Now you Kajal smudge proof Kajal is
ready to apply.
12. Apply it using a brush and one can also
use it as eyeliner.
13. One can store it for 4-5 months at
room temperature.
*Mustard oil -
Material required –
1. One cup of mustard oil.
2. An open clay lamp.
3. Palm sized cotton layer.
4. A clay plate.
5. Stand or glasses to hold the plate on the lamp.
6. Beeswax.
7. Ghee.
8. Small container.
9. Hot water.
Method to prepare Kajal –
1. Roll the cotton roll to the thickness that can burn easily.
2. Soak it into the mustard oil.
3. Pour the remaining oil in the lamp.
4. Put the cotton roll in the lamp and light it up.
5. Hang the plate on the lamp using glasses or the stand.
6. Let the kohl collect on the plate surface.
7. Let it cool and collect the kohl in a small container.
8. Now take half tablespoon of beeswax into a small bowl and keep it in the hot water to melt .
9. Now add 3 or 4 drops of melted wax into kohl.
10. Also add 2 or three drops of ghee or Aloe Vera gel into it.
11. Now your smudge proof Kajal is ready to apply .
12. One can use it using a brush.
13. It also works as eyeliner.
14. One can store it for 4-5 months at room temperature.
Apply homemade Kajal to your eyes and protect them
from the harmful chemicals that come in the market products.
