Health benefits of flax seeds and remedies for hair and skin

Flax seeds are also known as super food as it is very nutritious and also has magical effects on human health. Flax seeds have a rich amount of omega -3 fats and fibre which makes it very useful for vegetarians who do not consume fish or eggs. Flax seeds fulfil the requirements of many necessary fats , fibres and omega - 3 fatty acids. Here are some benefits of flax seeds -


*Benefits of eating flaxseeds -

Flax seeds contain vitamins, protein, fats, omega-3 fatty acid, calories , fibres, magnesium, iron, potassium and many more necessary nutrients. So it is very nutritious food for the human body, specially for the one who does not consume non veg like fish or egg. Flax seeds are enough to fulfil all the requirements of non veg food.

Flax seeds have a rich amount of omega -3 fatty acid. This fatty acid is an essential fatty acid which we get only by the food we eat , our body does not produce it. It helps our body to reduce cholesterol and inflammation. They are also a good source of alpha linolenic acids which reduces chances of stroke .

*Remedies for skin and hair -

1. Remedy for soft and fast growing hair -
* Take 1 cup of flax seeds.
* Add 2 cups of water into the container and Boil it until it becomes a little sticky.
* Now separate the water in a different container and let it cool.
* It will convert into a thick gel after getting cool.
* Now add one tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel and 1 teaspoon of almond oil. 
* Apply this hair mask to your hair and keep it overnight. 
* Rinse it with sulphate free shampoo in the morning. 

This hair mask would make your hair soft as well as fast growing and thick.


2. Remedy for glowing and soft skin -
* Take half cup of flax seeds in a container.
* Add 2 cups of water in it and let it boil until it becomes sticky.
* Now separate the water and let it cool
* It would turn into a thick gel after getting cool.
* Now add 1 tablespoon of fresh Aloe Vera gel and 1 teaspoon of honey. 
* You can also add any of your favourite essential oil for fragrance.
* Keep it for 15 minutes and then rinse with drinking water.

Apply it twice a week and enjoy the results. 


3. Remedy for fair skin - 
* Take 2 tablespoons of flax seeds and powder it.
* Add green tea water and half tablespoon of gram flour.
* Add A pinch of turmeric powder and curd.
* Apply it to your face, elbow and neck and leave for 20 minutes.
* Now rinse with water for healthy and fair skin.
