Hello friends! Today I will share the most common mistakes that we make in the morning that ruin our whole day.
Here's the list of 10 things that can ruin your day and make you feel lazy throughout the day (Avoid doing this in morning)-
It seems very common but we are unaware of its negative impact on our daily life. It has two folded impacts, mentally and physically. By snoozing the alarm we are indirectly giving our mind a signal to break commitments. We are training our minds that it is fine not to be punctual and break commitments. By doing so it becomes our habit to snooze an alarm, being late and breaking commitments. Slowly it becomes a huge problem that decreases your performance.
However, sleeping 10 minutes extra can never make you feel good, instead it makes you more lazy and likely to sleep more. Snoozing alarm can disturb your sleep cycle and can leave you groggy, disoriented and more stressed. So it is necessary to set your alarm to the exact time and actually wake to that time. It will surely give you better results and make you feel more active and happy.
2. Checking smartphone just after waking up
Almost 80% of people check their smartphone within 15 minutes of waking up every morning. Here you might argue that what is the problem in it?
Well, If you use the power of your subconscious mind, it can either make your day or ruin your day.
Do you remember why our elders used to say that morning time is best to learn something?
Today's modern research shows that our subconscious mind is highly active for 20 minutes after waking up. It is also known as the alpha state of mind. What you think, what you hear, what you say, what you see in this state can tone your whole day. It is very important to do something that does not influence your subconscious mind wrongly in the morning.
So instead of peeping into the mobile just fill yourself with positive thoughts. You can avoid reading newspapers, watching tv and mobiles in the morning. Instead one should give this time to yoga. It will not help you to stay healthy as well as make you more active and positive. One more thing you need to keep in mind is that you should never get stuck in any argument and bitter talk in the morning and instead focus on your goals and try to be productive. So, in this way feed your mind with positive thoughts and utilise this "me time".
3. Not making the bed after waking up
Now this is also a very common and ignored thing that needs actual concern. Many people do not make their bed after waking up. This simple looking task can do wonders to your mind. ADMIRAL MCRAVEN , in his famous speech said that "If you wanna change the world, start off by making your bed". It is also a mandatory habit for military troops. It has its own psychological reason. When you make your bed just after waking up, it fills a sense of discipline in your mind . It also gives you a little pride and confidence that you completed your first task and encourages you to complete further tasks. By doing so, not only your room gets set but also it declutters your mind. It also gives you a deep pleasure of getting a clean room after coming back from your work.
4. Avoiding light entering in the room
Some of us prefer to keep the light off or dim in the morning. It may feel good to keep lights dim in the morning but indirectly you are making your mind lazy. The longer you keep lights off, the longer you will feel tired. Morning time is the best time to sunbathe. In modern research it is shown that if you take a morning sunbath, you are more likely to stay alert towards your work throughout the whole day . Sunbathing also can reduce viruses and indoor pollution. So never forget to pull your curtains back as soon as you get off to your bed.
5. Taking extremely hot shower
The next mistake we make is to take an extremely hot shower. Except the weather is extremely chilly, it is fine to bathe with just normal lukewarm water. Taking a cold bath is recommended but in case if you can not do it, just go for lukewarm water. This is because hot water baths can cause lethargy and cold water baths can instantly energise the body . If you prefer not to take a bath in cold weather, you are making another mistake. By taking a bath not only your body gets clean but also your mind becomes fresh and more alert. So if you do not take bath regularly, no matter how many cups of coffee you take, you will not feel that optimum energy.
6. Taking bath just for the sake of it
It is another common mistake that everyone makes. One should be actually present mentally while bathing, feeling the water, cleansing the mind and body.
7. Not deciding the dressing a night before
Now another mistake happens while getting ready. One can spend a lot of time searching for the best dressing for the day. while some people waste their time in finding out their misplaced clothes and some can spend too much time in deciding what to wear. This can cause unnecessary stress and sets the wrong tone for the day. So just decide your dressing the night before and also keep your bag ready for the next day. It will not only save your morning time but also will set a right tone for the whole day.
8. Skipping breakfast
Skipping breakfast and going to work with an empty stomach is like racing without fuel. We should understand that our body is hungry from overnight and morning time is the time for a good and nutritious meal. Taking junk food or foods that are devoid of nutrients is also a big no in breakfast. Infect we are more likely to crave for junk food if we have not taken a nutritious meal in the breakfast. So make sure you eat a healthy breakfast every morning.
9. Taking tea or coffee just after waking up
Now this is another thing we must avoid. Just after waking it is time for water. You can take some nutritious juice or lemon water in the morning but avoid tea and coffee. You can have tea or coffee at another time of the day.
10. Not planning the day
Do you remember how well you planned for your last trip? Well, plans show us the tasks we need to do as well as the proper time limit for them. Similarly your day goes well if it is well planned before. Not planning a day can make you feel working without any direction and time limits. Planning need not to be so complicated. Just spending 5 minutes on writing the goals you want to complete throughout the whole day is enough. You can add your habits, your mini goals, chores or any due work to this list. Just write them wherever you are comfortable and keep tracking them. This mini step will not only discipline your life and make you confident but also make you value the time.

- Always take a healthy and nutritious meal for breakfast.
- Avoid taking tea for coffee in the morning just after waking up , instead take plain water or any herbal juice.
- Give 5 minutes to plan the day. It will help you to work in the right direction and value the time.
